Hello, and welcome back to Blonde Girl Writing, where I talk about writing, God, and reading! Sorry for disappearing for so long, life has been pretty busy, but I'm popping in today with a huge announcement.
Today I have some very exciting news: my friend, Allie Lynn, is releasing her new book for her mailing list!! It's called The Color of a Horse's Song, and here's the cover:

The Color of a Horse's Song is a YA novel about Claire and Colton, 14- and 15-year-old best friends who are trying to make their last summer before high school the best one yet.
Claire Larkton, an ADHD-brained writer, sees color through sound.
Colton Myers, an autistic prodigy, hears music within chaos.
Best friends since third grade, the two of them have spent every summer on horseback between their ranches, and their last summer before high school is planned to be their most epic yet. Then Colton's estranged father shows up from prison, and their plan for their epic summer turns into a fight to keep Colton from moving away.
Claire doesn't want to lose her best friend, and Colton is sick of change, but as the summer wanes on and their obstacles take new shape, their experiment to get rid of Colton's dad has a different result-- one that Claire isn't sure she can stand.
The summer-friends vibes of Honey Butter meet the musical world of August Rush in this coming-of-age story about letting go, living beyond the black-and-white, and enjoying every moment, no matter how long it lasts.
And oh my goodness, this book is so sweet! Allie Lynn is a fantastic writer and I love Claire and Colton's dynamic so much. Plus the vibes are so fun, mixing summer, watercolor, music, and horses in such a great way! It has a ton of fun aspects, like:

If The Color of a Horse's Song sounds right up your alley, you can sign up for Allie Lynn's mailing list here! And, if you sign up before April 14th, you'll be entered into a raffle to win an exclusive paperback copy of the book!
Well, thanks for reading about The Color of a Horse's Song release today! And thank you for being willing to support amazing young writers who write to serve God and love others.
Best wishes,
Jonah
